Constellation #15

V-Room is pleased to announce Constellation #15, a group show of painter Fendry Ekel, based in Berlin and Bali, Agni Saraswati from Yogyakarta, and Marco Cassani, an Italian artist based in Bali.

V-Room (Viewing) is an artists-run space supported by Honold Fine Art, located at the main road of Teges in Peliatan, Ubud, Bali. It was initiated by visual artists Fendry Ekel and Marco Cassani. The art space is dedicated to serve as a platform for contemporary art and its related discourse in an intimate setting.

Starting in 2021, V-Room is showing the ongoing art program, titled Constellations, where a continuously changing display of works will be presented by monthly replacing and adding pieces of art to form new configurations and highlight the relations between individual works. Every art piece operates in a sort of relay, taking position within the room and eventually passing on the baton. The program’s intention is to foster a dynamic way of showcasing the works of art.

Having perceived how different communities deal with a new form of day-to-day situation caused by the pandemic started in 2020 shoulder to shoulder, inspired the initiators of V-Room to the concept and specific format of Constellations. Both the art space and its program underline the importance of being with an art creation in a human scale surrounding in order to maintain a real relationship with it.

Constellation #15 is the second show of the second cycle of the Constellation program, which continues investigating the relations between individual artworks.
